Hello all!
I am hoping to start up a new web-based business, mainly dealing with selling computers and accessories to homes and small businessess. Wait! I can hear it... a mumble in the backround, a murmur of discontent... 'another one?!'
The reason why I have decided to start another one, when there already is in the market a few, is simply because I find that the service of the existing e-shops that deal with computer related products are so unsatisfactory - they're not focused towards the buyer, as a business should be, but: how much stuff can we cram into this website, at the most expensive price? I find - and people may disagree - that most of these places are disorganized, not easy to navigate, often it is hard to find what you want and not very aesthetically pleasing.
So I decided.... if you can't beat 'em, join 'em! My idea already consists of several things that you don't (generally) find in South Africa: fully customizable computer configurations, wide range of manufacturers, standard - yet customizable - packages, and good service.
Since this business will be geared for people like you, the members of the MyBroadband forum, people who know what they're talking about, and whose opinion I respect, I decided it would be a good idea to ask you what you want in this sort of e-shop, and what you don't. Even if you think this is the worst idea since the upside-down talking tortoise -tell me!
