Started to play on Northrend last night. The idea of playing in a place you have never been before has taken me back to the day I first got WoW. But now I don't have to lvl 70 lvl's only 10 :D

Anyway, got to run UK and some other instance one of the Nax thingies with the Big dragon in it :o Was awesome fun. I then played the first few instances on the landing in Howling Fjord.

I can only say: I have not had this "I need to go home now and play WoW" feeling in a while. I'm going to lvl my Lock to 80 first, but it's going to be slow leveling trying to complete every quest per area and then move on. I want to see it all :o

So how do you guys find it ?

The gear drops are a little dissapointing but as I entered Northrend on my Loock at lvl 69 the gear is nice, as it replaces all my other quest gear from Outlands. But I don't think I'll be replacing most of my gear on my Shaman or Rogue till about lvl 73-74.

I'm 100% fully addicted again D:

Lvl77,only replaced weapons and gun to make up for the hit rating deficit i'll have due to Titan's Grip at 80

Admittedly I was kitted in T6 so :P

The instances are beautiful, the landscapes amazing, the quests involving and the crafted gear bleeding expensive :P

But I would just like to say that the gear ractio regarding upgrades does scale nicely if you haven't raided or done lvl 70 Heroics. lvl'ng and then going to northrend at 68/69/70 the upgrades are in line.

So the only reason we will feel cheated is because we have some pretty good gear on our mains that has been in Outlands for ages :o

I can't wait to run more chars through Northrend. Too bad I need to run through classic and TBC to get there :D

congrats on hitting 1000 posts, PsyWolf!

Ye, most of our guys were T4 / S2 and only started replacing epics at lvl 76-77. You need to remember, lvl 70 now is just another level up from 69. So anyone starting fresh won't linger at 70 for 2 months to get fully epic specced. The same way as lvl 60 epics wouldve lasted you to entry lvl 70.

Having said that, I'm questing in BT, but last night I went exploring up the coast and caught 2 turtles to Howling Fjord. My goodness ! what a beautiful place! It sorta looks like a mix between Nagrand and Darkshore ... I can't wait to finish my BT quests so I can skip over to howling fjord to start there. I should be lvl 72-73 by then so it'll be easy.

yeah the Thorim chain, omf

And that creepy kids ghost, it feels truly epic.

Since I hit Borean Tundra first, that fight on top of the Citadel... Last Rites i think. That was epic :) I love how Arthas randomly pops up with voice dialogue, just makes you wanna hunt him down so much more :D

Wewt 1k postage

Only thing im unhappy about is my crit went down from 49% to 26% and dropping -.-

Same thing with my def QQ, managed to get it up to 506 last night, slowly, slowy catches a monkey

There are a few that spring to mind, but my highlight is still the fight on dragon-back around the highest point in Storm Peaks, climbing your way up to the top.

Most hunters... once they reach level 80 sit with around 16 % crit.
Not sure about the other classes, but our stats to aim for have drastically changed on hunter dps mechanics. Haste is now a B-stat to aim for, where things like crit and hit rating would need tons of items to push our builds into a balanced dps spec.

The good side of it though, PVE raiding wise it balances out, its just the solo playing side of things where you notice just how hard it is to get to the same level of stat balance as we had pre WOTLK.

I finished up in Howling Fjord a couple of nights ago, one of the best areas in the game if you ask me. Im really digging Northend, it just seems way way more warcrafty then Outlands ever was. And the quests so far have been super fun!

Funny you say that...

I was mentioning to a mate on TS last night while walking into the 1st town left of the great lift.

It looks exactly like the towns used to in WC2 ...

Howling Fjord truly was amaizing :D

However, Borean Tundra may not be quite as beautiful, but completing the entire string of quests has a real epic feel about it...

Yeh, BT seems to be fairly structured / sequential in its quests... most say its the quicker leveling ground out of the two.

I'm done with the Corolla? Ice island quest aside from the instance one - and moving further East now doing the landing strip quests. The quests go rather quickly I must say.

Right now I'm playing on rest XP only and alternate between my rogue and my Dwarf knight for play time.

Hit lvl 75 on Sunday. Last night i used up my rested xp. I also thought of playing on rest xp by switching to my Dk for a bit, but we have 6 lvl80's about 3 lvl 79. Most on on 75+. There is already talk of Naxx this weekend :) So I think I will go for it. Doubt I will make 80 this weekend, but I'm really keen for a raid now. Havent had one for weeks :) I'll have to respec my lock. I took my talents out of threat reduction in Destro. I found i have been tanking in 5mans a bit after a streak of crits and instant shadowbolts. That corruption glyph rocks :)
