Registered on the 6th, and got a call on the 13th if I wanted the modem delivered, or pick it up. I obviously picked it up [:D]

I'm in Edenvale Central, and getting 3 out of 4 lights on the modem. Signal strength around 19% I think. There's a Linksfield tower and one in Hurlyvale.

Currently downloading America's Army from Saix at about 13k per second. I'm on the 128k package.
 
Actually, it's around 14% last time I checked. Apparently 30% is the best you could get, but I'm still surfing fine
 
I don't know if it's regarded as strong, but I have 19% (I have the 256k package) and just about everything downloads at 40kbps plus.
100% would probably cause my pc to self-destruct :P

Maybe it's some sicko dressed in one of those leather thongs thinking he is a girl and wanting some "helping hands" from the guys in the forum...

40kb on a 256k???? /me thinks....

er... you should be getting about 36k max if i'm not mistaken young "lady"
 
256k = 32KB/s ...though it is possible that either compression is taking place or the throttling Sentech have in place is lazy [;)]
 
Hmmm...I am getting 40kbps..maybe it's just may girlie pc that can't convert those ratio's properly...not that I am complaining.
Could also be that there is prob no one in our area using wireless...ppl around here have only just discovered electric lawnmowers :P
