Anderson Silva vs GSP

But I honestly believe Anderson Silva will pull some more matrix moves out of his bottomless bag of tricks and knock GSP out with some weird technique that no-one has seen before.

Chael Sonnen is a better wrestler than GSP... at least in terms of "top control". GSP might have better take downs than Sonnen, but he can't damage from the top too well.

I think GSP is a very smart fighter. VERY smart. He's technically brilliant and very good at avoiding damage.
However, Silva has something special. If you look at the manner in which he's managed to FINISH some of the best fighters in the world ON THEIR OWN TERMS, it's incredible.

I want the fight to happen for exactly this reason... the fight world is divided into either the GSP camp or the Anderson camp... They represent 2 different worlds of martial arts. One is an accurate counter striker who is creative and fluid; the other is an unparallelled workaholic with excellent all round technique and brilliant strategy.
They are both the long time dominant fighters of their divisions.
We need this fight to happen to be able to say once and for all... the best MMA fighter of our generation was XXXX.

As for Bones... The man is a freak. Physically unique and disgustingly talented. Submitted submission specialists... out-wrestles wrestlers... knocks out strikers...
however...
Vitor almost took his arm.
If Vitor was more like Frank Mir or Palharres (they don't wait for you to tap... they WILL break your limb), he was too "sporting".
So maybe that's the secret to beating Jones... No mercy... trap a limb and snap it.

As for GSP's next fight... I would like to see him fight Diaz, although he'll probably do exactly what Condit did and stay WAY on the outside.
I agree on Hendricks vs Diaz... winner gets GSP.

Silva's next fight?
Weidman is good... but he's still a kid. He's got to go through Boetsch, Bisping and Sonnen to get to Silva. Yes... his record is impressive, but he has to earn his stripes. Especially poor Bisping. Although I think he'll stand no chance against Silva, Bisping has been right there on the brink of awesomeness for a long time. He also doesn't have too many more left in him either.

Jones vs Henderson... that's for sure. Hendo also can't hang around too much longer.

Sonnen is no longer a middleweight though, he and Jones are the new ultimate fighter coaches so they will be facing each other, i don’t think this is a good fight for Sonnen, Jones is gonna have him for breakfast, i would have much rather seen Hendo against Bones, i honestly think if Hendo can’t stop Jones, nobody in the division can.
Jones has hinted he wants to move to Heavyweight, imagine Cain vs Jones

I also have a feeling Silva is going to retire next year, after he has retired i think Machida is going to move down to Middleweight and be the next guy to beat

When Vitor took his arm i was hoping with excitement, i though he had the submission for sure, it looked very tight, how Jones go out of that one is nothing less than a miracle, but you are right when you say that that seems to be his weak spot, i can see someone like Mir, who is really just average fighter (with amazing submissions) tapping Jones, i remember when Mir submitted Brock Lesnar, the smallest of lapse in concentration and its over in 5 seconds

The difference with Frank Mir's Jujitsu and everybody else's... is that Frank learned to continue applying pressure until either the ref stops you or the bone breaks. That is why a whole lot of other Jitz practitioners can't tap people out... THAT'S HOW THEY TRAIN! they train to get in the right position and then "not hurt your training partner" by not applying pressure.
Which is all good... but the mental adjustment must be there to switch modes in the fight... to MURDER KILL KILL KILL!!!!

I know because I have pretty loose tendons in my elbows and they "hyper-extend". So when we train with guys... it's very hard to tap me out with a straight armbar. The only way to catch me is if you turn my wrist and thrust your pelvis out (The RIGHT WAY to do an armbar). If you don't turn the wrist, I could stay in that position without too much discomfort. The problem is... if you go a little hard... with the wrist turned... THAT'S IT! POP!!!

My instructor always said: "How you train, is how you fight." And that's what a lot of these guys do wrong... they don't make that step from "training submissions", to "BREAK THAT MUTHERTRUCKER'S EFFEING ARM OFF" in a fight.
You see it lots in the EFC too.

This is also the reason why a lot of middleweights avoid fighting Rousimar Palhares (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rousimar_Palhares)

This guy's knee bars are so brutal... that he can snap the tendons in his opponent's knees before they have time to tap... and he carries on through the tapping until the ref stops him. It's a bit of a dick move... but hey, this isn't ballet! And that reputation precedes him now and everyone K@Ks for "Toquinho"

It's that "HARD" style Jitz that might be Jone's downfall... a real animal, who can whip his legs into position in a flash and crank the F*#K out of whatever he manages to grab.

And guess who that person is... ANDERSON "THE SPIDER" SILVA.
I think he could do it.

I overheard somebody in the VIP seats talking about UFC showing interest in Darren Daniel and closely following his progress. Just a rumour I'm sure but would love it if a EFC fighter can make the step up to UFC.
