Andre de Ruyter under fire

Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa has once again taken a swipe at former Eskom chief executive Andre de Ruyter, saying his appointment to lead the company was a mistake.

“When you are faced with such a crisis, you must make sure you get people with the right skills in that position,” he said.

If the ANC had the people with the right skills in the first place, we'd never have been in this mess.

Unfortunately, competent people are not usually good conduits for corruption, so they employed imbeciles in key positions at Eskom for years so they could loot it.

Wonder what Ramokgopa is trying to distract everyone from now.

Unless he's decided to throw his hat in with Squirrel and his bunch of criminals and create a new "Look, whitey is bad" moment in the news to distract from the shyte they've all caused.

so when you guys rage against Cyril, are you raging against darkie being bad ?

Nah, just against Squirrel not having a backbone and putting party first as always.

Plus Squirrel is still in the job... its not really good form for Ramokgopa to be blaming the last oke, thats like early 2000s corporate "t wasn't me"

De Ruyter was just one more link in a chain of poor management and corruption stretching back 2 decades. He may have been a mistake. If he was it was a drop in the bucket of mistakes Eskom has made. The real question to be answered is "why do these mistakes keep being made in perpetuity?"

The only answers are corruption, incompetence or a mix of both.

No this is where the problem exists in the first place. Appointments to SOEs should never be political appointments. This is one the main things that led to state capture...

Ramakgopa just trying to hide his mistakes / forced-to-make lies

That is what I said.
