Hi there

Has anyone sucessfully updated their Samsung S3 to android 4.3 using the firmware from another country?
(Or is it better to wait for the official version of the firmware to be released by Samsung for South African users)

Many, many people. Many, many times. It's perfectly safe to do. Just get the correct version for your phone. I steer clear of US updates as they are carrier specific and cause kark with international versions from what I've read...

It's incredibly buggy. I ended up installing CyanogenMod 10.2 a few days after trying out 4.3.

I installed the january 2014 release of 4.3, no bugs whatsoever. However the previous months had issues.

I have never used SA firmware for my S3 when flashing through ODiN as it's very dated.

I'm running 4.4.2 on my S3, no problems whatsoever.

My N7000 still runs on ICS 4.0.4

Can I also update ?
