Android 2.3 OTA update...got it last night!

So my HTC Desire HD updated flawlessly from Android 2.2 to 2.3. (No I haven't rooted my phone).

The most noticable differences are some UI tweaks and copy-paste functions are slicker.

They SAY its faster, but then again my Desire has always been fast.

Also the battery life of my phone should improve, so I'll have to report back on that.

im on mtn and my DHD got updated lastnight :} ... just waiting to see how stable and what other nifty

Yes. When I click on it I can see the status and firmware version etc....

But no option for update or check for update.

My Desire Z had a upgrade from 2.2 to 2.2.1 a few week ago on Vodacom.

FAIL

Update downloads, then restarts phone to install... a green progress bar appears and runs to about 15-20%. then progress bar turns to a red question mark and phone reboots. No messages. Phone remains on 2.2...
Tried upgrade twice, no joy! :-(

Anyone else on Vodacom managed to update to 2.3???

I have the same problem, there is no "Software Update" option on my Samsung Galaxy S. Only Firmware version which is currently 2.1

im eating gingerbread aswell lovely, basically all my day to day apps work fine will give battery report aswell
