Mine just arrived this morning.

Specs...

CPU: Cortex A8 1.5Ghz
Memory: 1GB
Internal Storage: 4GB
Network: Wireless 802.11 b/g/n
IO/Ports: USB2.0 OTG/T-Flash/USB2.0 Host
HDMI: 1080p and 2160p
Power Input: 5V/2A

Does not have Bluetooth built in, but easily solved with a USB hub.

Some vids...
$74 Android 4.0 MK802 Mini PC unboxing
$74 MK802 Android 4.0 Mini PC app demonstrations
MK802 Android 4.0 Mini PC - Video 7 - Usb Video Game Controllers
MK802 $74 Mini PC running Ubuntu 10.04 Linux
MK802 Android 4.0 Mini PC - Video 5 - Using an Ethernet / LAN adaptor

We have a bar and 40" Sony in the office and the guys had me hook it up straight away to test it out.

The overall view from all of us is a simple "wow".

The power plug is unfortunately American so I have to wait until I get home to test properly (have American adapters at home). We tried to power the device off the TV's USB but it was not sufficient. The device needs 2A and USB cannot provide that so we had screen flicker.
Initially the flicker was every now and again, but as soon as we hooked up the wifi it got bad (higher power drain).

Android Market is preloaded on the device. It upgraded to Play Store and I had access to all my apps. The first I wanted to install was Plex but flicker got too bad by the time we got to this point. Need to be patient and wait until I get home to test properly.

I can promise you right now that there will be another order going in for more of these devices. So tiny. So feature rich. This is my phone on the big screen.

I will update this thread with more information as I test and fiddle around. Not been this excited about a gadget in a long time :)

Went to the web Play Store to see if the mini PC was supported. It is.
It shows up as "Unknown AK-MINI-PC-001.

Sent Auto Run and Plex to the device so when I power up this afternoon at home they are both installed straight away.
Going to use Auto Run to run Plex on boot as that is what I mainly got this device for. The rest of the Android functionality on my big screen is just a major bonus :)

What CPU, and does it support Bluetooth?

Reason I ask is I found a new love, and hope it explodes in growth with devices like this.

Could not stop playing Dead trigger on my TV last night using the PS3 controller.

Updated the OP with vids and specs.

Does not have BT built in, but you can setup a USB hub and use a dongle. What I intend doing...

I was looking at these things yesterday but the price seems a tiny but high at the moment still! If I may ask why didn't you but direct off eBay? Surely it would be cheaper get it from there?

I was going to. Was browsing the BoB R1 auctions when I saw it and could not resist.
My next ones will come via eBay.
Just ordered 3 * Turtle Beach X41's on eBay. Asked the supplier to try get me a MK802 but could not help ):

Fair enough, been there with those R1 things lol...

Mike, did you have to pay the disbursement fee? They also charge ad valorum fee of 7% on these buggers. Unless your supplier declared below the cost.

What was the total duties and VAT amount if may ask?

It won't be cheaper off ebay as the items are shipped directly from China.

I never bothered to check the shipping invoice. SkyNet (courier) charged me R38 customs fees.

I used u PNP server on the mk for this video with ps3 media server on the computer.

I did some testing last night. Connected to an 801.11n wireless access point.

First tried a 8.4GB MKV via Plex. 100%.
Second tried Battle Los Angeles which is a 11.3GB MP4. Again. 100%. Also via Plex.

I then spent the evening watching TV shows and stuff (also via Plex). I had the odd stutter which I think is attributed to my gazillion devices hooked up to the wifi in my game room. I am ordering a D-Link 4 port USB hub with ethernet to get the MK802 wired. Also ordering a Mecer bluetooth keyboard with touchpad to contract the thing.

There is a customised firmware available which enables you to control the device from your cellphone. This I will do this weekend and report back. The app on the play store is Droidmote.

rooted yet? had a look at Droidmote seems like you can install in stock as long as you are rooted...

Nope, not rooted - yet.

I installed it stock but it does not work. I can see my client connect to it but it does nothing.
I read on their forums that they have a customised version of the stock firmware that you need to flash to put all the right files in the right places. Then it will work. Will give that a bash tonight if I have time otherwise on the weekend.

He brought it of BOB, he paid R680 if im not mistaken, the guy on BOB is probably some guy in SA using drop shipping so he has added R100 onto the price for himself.

On ebay the cheapest to SA is $72 (72 U.S. dollars = 588.937785 South African rands), so you could save yourself R100. Which in my books is R100 to spend on some other toy ;P

The other option is DX for $73 if you dont trust ebay!
