Android 8 - Forgotten password

So, set up my new Droid One device last night and needed to restart the thing this morning. And then realise I forgot the darn password for the screen. Is there anyway I can unlock it without wiping it? It took a really long time to get all the backups sorted last night and I'd sooner not have to wipe if possible. In the past it presented a forgot pin/pattern thing that allowed you to login with your google account details but I don't seem to be having this option presented.

It should replace the password on the device (can take a few minutes) with the new one you'll hopefully not forget in that time
