Android Chowing Data?

They chow data. That is what android phones do. I go through up to 6 gigs a month on my HTC sensation. Granted I am a heavy user.

Holy sweet mother of mercy, i dont even do that with wifi combined. the only month my wifi data stats paat 1gb 800mb was for lan transfers.

Thats beyond insane.

:erm: I barely go through 10GB a month on my normal internet...

Holy crap, either your phone is not set properly or your downloading the internet.

On mixed mode I dont need more than 200 Mb a month. All games, updates and other crap is set to use WiFi Only. Only browsing, Tapatalk, whatsapp and email are allowed to use 3G on my phone, do not really need anything else.
 
I use around 450 megs/month of the 500 megs RBM give me.

The only thing that I find really chows data is when I tether with my notebook.

Unless he has one of the Cell C or 8 ta Plans. I use to go through 10 gig a month using 2 Cell C 60 gig promo SIMs.

Learned very quickly how to limit my use when they stopped.
 
I recently got my Desire S, and that same week, our telephone cables were stolen :mad: anyway, so we were without wifi for three weeks. I can't say the exact amount of airtime I actually used within that time period (juuust in case my hubby comes across this post :o :p), but it was A LOT!

Definitely not what I'm used to, coming from a BlackBerry, but luckily our wifi is sorted, so I won't need much data in future.

Holy shooters. A Wifi dongle costs R200 and you can immediately start sharing your PC internet for your phone. I did this as soon as I received my phone. :erm: 6GB is madness!
