I honestly don't know what the big deal is with mxit. I'm glad I never caught on to the hype. Google Talk works perfect on my SGS, thankyouverymuch.

I agree, Google talk is much better. The problem is that none of my friends are android owners and convincing all of them to use gtalk on their computers is quite impractical.

They can use Gtalk on their phones. IM apps like Windows Live and Gtalk integrate with the messaging system and work great on Blackberries. Why BB fans refuse to use apps that let them talk to other phone users is beyond me.

Apps like Ebuddy work on nearly every phone.

Also Gtalk can add Mxit contacts. Don't expect it to work well though. When I tested it, adding a Mxit contact worked ok. But vice versa just wouldn't work. Guess that's just Mxit being buggy crap.

I can't see the problem with current Mxit on my Desire. It works as it should and never really have any problems with it...?

Depends who you chat too I guess if most of your ppls are on gtalk than gtalk...mxit than mxit.....

thou on a normal java based handset, mxit works out great - Facebook / yahoo / windows live / gtalk and mxit, now if only bbm could pull up to the party

I don't think BBM will ever "pull up to the party" sadly. There's an exclusivity about having BBM that they:really cashing on pretty nicely at the moment

I don't think they will, a lot of people buy blackberries just for BBM.

Also, BBM should stay on the crap-berrys. Everyone else uses Mxit - why should we move to a new format when the current one works just fine?

Everyone else? None of my friends use Mxit. 95% of them use BBM. The others use WhatsApp and GTalk.
