I want to know regarding phones that come with Android Go as the OS. Does they have the same apps as the normal Android phones? Meaning access to the normal Play Store or does they have different sorts of apps, like no Whatsapp etc.

It's the same store.

So it is just basically the "running platform" which is the "Go" edition? So I take it I will find all the apps that is currently available on the normal Playstore also in the "Go" store? I am just worried I go for a Android Go version then I am limited to the apps I used to run

Most apps will run. Some apps that require notification access won't work and large games etc. but WA / banking etc. all work fine.

Thanks, because I need to purchase a phone for me parent and most of the phones I saw under R2000 (up to where I can afford) is mostly Android Go. She is only using WA and the app Netwer24 That is it....which I believe should work as I cannot think Netwerk24 app requires Notification access. Any phone recommendations perhaps in this price bracket?

I would say look at a 2nd hand iPhone as well. You can get really good support considering its for a parent. No bias as I use Android.

It's "do" they my English teacher said.

But I would not get an android which runs on Go.

Look at the Redmi phones. They have some fairly affordable phones.

Is the Redmi 9A also Go?
No, that is full Android running on Xiaomi MIUI. However the 2GB Ram is worrying to me. I would look at something with at least 3GB. Also bear in mind the opinions on the forum that the apps sometimes freeze and crash.... But hey, check what you get for what you pay.

So better then to go with the 9A then I would say...
