cerebus must be delighted.

This doesn't seem like such a major release.

are all you guys with Lollipop rooting?

I'm desperate to try that, just have to build up the courage. I have an S2 that's not being used so if it's bricked too bad.

TBH lollipop wasn't worth the fuss, KK was more stable. If you're going to root get a custom rom.

Yes. It's as easy as falling out of a tree. Just do it!

EDIT: lollipop was a big release. WP fanboys spewing k@k again!

EDIT2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/development-derivatives/rom-cyanogenmod-12-t2955551. I have a N7000 also based on exynos 4412 so I actually know WTF I'm talking about. Lollipop is the best release for it yet.

Why not DIY?

Warranty and insurance... I got an S5 from an insurance claim which they would not have done if my phone was flagged for being rooted, custom rom or one that does not match my baseband version.

My phone falls quite a lot (accidentally) so I might have to claim again soon :P

Is it just me or have they taken these from iOS:

App permissions – Number of permissions decreased to 8. Apps will ask you permission the first time it tries to use a feature, rather than during installation.

Android pay – Standardise support for fingerprint scanners.

Doesn't feel like enough features to call it a new version of Android. More like an update. Like 5.2. Why don't they instead focus on fixing the bugs first. before introducing more features? My S4 is still stuck on Kitkat. Starting to feel like its time to dump Android and try out WP.

Flashing an official firmware from Sammobile.com via Odin does not void warranty or trip the Knox flag.

So go ahead and do it!

There is no official lollipop firmware for my baseband\PDA though... it's different on phones sold by Vodacom\Vodaphone.

Just make sure it's the correct Model and it will work no issues, no need to worry about baseband.

I've done it on my S3, S4 and S5

This is a winner. I always fancied how app on my ipod ask for my permission after install. More control over those pesky little apps

Dafuq?! Milkshake is a far superior name!

I suppose milkshake might have been disqualified for not being an actual sweet though. Eh whatever, marshmallow was the next best option anyway.

Why didn't they call it Milktart?

:erm:
