Is there a way to buy a App store voucher and send it to somebody as a gift?

I wouldn't mind to get one as a present...

With many products at such low prices that would be a fairly useless feature specifically for the market, they may have setup a coupon system for google checkout though which would serve the same purpose.

I think it could have been an brilliant feature. I am not talking about a voucher for a single app, I am talking about a voucher that can be used to credit a google market account.

My wife wants to know what to get me for Christmas, thought a bunch of apps would be nice...

Yes but unlike paypal. At least from what i can see in my account google checkout does not store credit, they simply a facilitator. There individual merchants setup coupon codes for you to use.
If they did have a gift system then under the current config you would be requred to use it or loose it and with the low rice of apps and no actual shopping cart as the market is a multi-vendor that would not work at all.
Come to think of it does paypal even have such a feature?
