Android Moderm

Modem I suppose?

Wifi hotspot would be the only viable option - dependant on the version of software in use.

Froyo (Andoid v2.2) and up makes this possible.

If you've got a smartphone then it's possible to turn your handset into a portable Wi-Fi hotspot using your device's 3G connection to access the web, a process that's called 'tethering'. In the case of Google Android handsets, the search introduced the feature when it unveiled Froyo, version 2.2 of its Android operating software. Those with smartphones running Google Android 2.1 or lower, you'll need to download an app such as PDANet or Easy Tether.

Youtube, howto.

Blocked at the office so never checked it myself.

Not sure about yours but on my phone it is under:

Settings > Wireless and networks - More settings >Tethering and portable hotspot > USB tethering

Looks like you'll need to connect your device before enabling. You might have to install your phones drivers beforehand.

Tethering needs a cable. Look for Wifi Hotspot if you're looking at connecting devices via wifi

Which phone is it?

So far I've been successful with using my droid as wifi hotspot. Chomps battery life though.

One last thing how do you go about locking naughty content in you gallery? Say password a folder?
