Android on HTC Touch 2 - Can it be done?

I've Googled a bit but it seems that it can't be done - unless some member on this great forum knows otherwise .

Please share your knowledge.

AFAIK if it is a windows phone then only Windows roms will be available.

It could possibly be done but you'd really need to know your stuff or work for HTC. The issue relates to hardware drivers.

I recently read that they have an Android ROM properly running on the HTC Touch HD...

I also read of the normal Diamond Touch, but not the Touch 2, no idea if it is compatible. Best bet is to register at the mentioned forums and have a read to see what can be done with your phone.
