Android 10 will save your battery with its Dark Theme

Google late to the party. Most android manufacturers have had their own custom dark skins since 2012!

Other manufacturers have given API access to third party apps so that the third party apps know when dark mode/theme has been enabled since 2012?

Some older versions had dark mode, Google just didn't support it on newer OS. Since Android 7 I've been able to have a dark drop-down menu, sadly not the notification itself though.

@Jan it will not save you battery unless AMOLED and it is using #000000 with the pixels then actually being off, which is rare as turning on the pixels causes micro stutters/perceived lag.
