What are the differences between android 5 and 6 ?

Very open ended question, but below are the 2 biggest differences I saw when I upgraded from Android 5 (Lollipop) to 6 (Marshmallow):

1.) Much better standby battery life
2.) Google now on tap available :)

Using 6, I have more control over app permissions. Each app now asks before using a certain function for the first time.

Android is better benefitted by rooting than being on the latest version.

The difference when running Greenify and Amplify is crazy.
