Android Smart TV Box

I am considering one of those Android Smart TV boxes like this one to plug into a standard HDTV:

I am wondering whether it is worth the money and if there are there any shops in Jhb that sell these so I can have a look first?
Try www.loot.co.za Reliable with good customer service and free delivery. They've got a few for around R1000 that look good. Get one that at least has quad core and 1gb ram Also android 4.1 jellybean at least is a must Good luck

I don't know whether to get a Chromecast or a Google tv box. Someone mentioned you can't run a vpn for Netflix etc in RSA on the chromecast.

I had this problem with a samsung set up and their cast dongle. Something seems to have changed though and vpn works now, well it works on BBC.

I got this one from avsupply and are very happy with it. CS918 Android 4.2 Quad Core Mini PC with XBMC http://www.avsupply.co.za/product_i...-xbmc-p-602?osCsid=ptlofnpt3bvmuf2a2c78nlf974

I was thinking about buying one in China, the CS918S, comes with 16G ROM, 2G RAM, a 5megapixel camera for video talk and home surveillance (see what my cats or wife is up to on the couch haha)

Tell me more about the CS918 you got:
is it stable?
Does it support miracast
The quadcore A31 SOC is based on A7, does it get choppy etc?
General usage

Let me know, thanks. I can get it for R600 -R700 here in China :D
