Hi all,

I'm considering purchasing a tablet, but would like some input into whether tablets are really useful - don't want to buy one only to find I won't use it.
My main reason for considering a tablet is that I can do a lot of my work on any device, but find that my phone screen (Note 5) is just too small. It's also a mission having to unpack my laptop every time. I mostly work on Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint.
My main requirements for a tablet would be 10" display and a stylus. The tablet I'm currently considering is Samsung Galaxy Tab A SM-P585 - if anyone can suggest a better tablet for around R5k, that would be appreciated as well.

Would a newer Samsung phone with deX be out of the question? From a tablet perspective, I have personally never found the use for an Android based tablet. If it is a must, then iPad is likely the way to go, just because the tablet applications are much more mature.

Unfortunately, I don't think Samsung Dex will work. As far as I know it's only available on newer Samsung devices, I'm using Note 5. And I'm looking for something I can work on quickly and easily.
I've never used an Apple product, so not really keen on that. Is there a 10" iPad available with stylus for around R5k?
