Android Tablet

I bought a 8" 1Ghz, 512MB Ram and i'm absolutely loving it. had an Ipad for a day for comparison and i actually prefer my Android Tablet

Will post a mini review on the thing, for that price if it turns out to be decent ill be very happy. Its basically for browsing at home and playing some mini games, maybe odd ep when im away!
 
I'm also looking at getting one of these cheap Android tablets. Just for browsing, email, watching episodes / movies etc. A lot of people here says it's crap, but no reasons why?
 
Freaksta, how much did it end up costing after taxes, shipping etc?
 
Give it a week for the thing to arrive silkman, he only ordered the thing yesterday, customs will add around, at most, R250 as it is a electronic and/or "luxury" item.
Best to wait for the man to have the thing in hand then rash him to kingdom come.
Not keen on the one banzais bringing in anymore?
 
yea these cheap android tablet are nice if you want to just browse the net and watch a few movies but to play games and word processing it will not work out. but if it only cost +/-R2000 with customs its a great deal since the Samsung galaxy Tab costs R7000 in SA
 
The games are just fun mini games, if they dont work well i have my android phone, its mainly for web browsing and eps and viewing word documents if i need to.. I guess it actually more for fun, i have a pc i have a netbook. So i dont need it but will keep the thread updated!
 
Think I myself am just going to end up going for the Asus E-Slate, going to the US next month and if I can get it there for $700 then it will be more then worth it....do want an android toy tho :/
 
Very keen on getting a Android tab pretty soon, which to go for? On newshost some guy is selling them for dirt cheap (from Taiwan).

I see the Archos 10 looks decent and so does the Galaxy Tab but its rather pricey athlough I see MTN has it for 349pm
 
Is R3800 a good price for a Samsung Galaxy? Brand new?

works gr8...of course u cannot compare with the other "Tablets" out there with gigabit speeds and memories...but it is worth the price...R 800 (including Shipping from HK)
