Android Useful Apps

a link/file etc on my phone to be pushed to the browser on my desktop

PushBullet is already a great way to send links, files, lists, and more to your Android phone from any web browser, but now you can use it the other way too—to send files pictures, lists, links, and more to Chrome from your Android phone.

One of the options that you get in the Android app is notification mirroring: e.g. when a Whatsapp message comes in on my phone, it also pops up in my browser on my PC. It'd be great if the browser kept a list of what notifications came through

I just noticed that it doesn't do this. Would also be nice if the extension icon in Chrome gave a count of notifications and pushes.Still a very cool app...

The notifications routing is awesome! I haven't had to look at my phone yet - I know exactly what each notification is, and I know that I don't need to look at any of them yet. Brilliant...

Okay, Pushbullet is by far my new favourite app. I've set Tapatalk to notify me when someone quotes my posts on various forums and I now get instant notifications on my desktop when it happens. And that's besides the usual notifications that I get too. It's brilliant, and I've been using the push function a ton since installing it too. It's just brilliant...

Is there any app by which you can search your call log? ie, I want to know when a company and I last spoke on the phone, and I don't want to scroll down for weeks on my call log trying to spot their name...

Push bullet rocks!

Push bullet rocks!

For this I use SMS Backup+ - it copies all your SMS, whatsapp and call log entries to gmail as they happen, into separate folders - meaning you have a searchable history of all 3 within gmail - one of my "what did I do before this?" apps
