Android Useful Apps

Piktures is slooooow to start up, especially noticeable when you open it inside another app to view a pic, say with the camera app, huge lag sometimes just won't open in some apps . Otherwise it's good, going back to quickpic for now.......

Works perfectly for me, never seen any hint of it being slow.

Not sure what's the story on my phone, fresh rom install and very few apps loaded

crappy SD card?
May be some merit to that, I don't use my sd card for images. I used too, but the app I use to wifi sync ran into issues when I went to lollipop with its new sd access permissions. The app was never updated to ask for that so I cannot backup my images to my local network is I save them there.

The app may have performance issues with sd cards, that permission could have other negative side effects either with the app or your device, then as mentioned the sd could be crappy or just old and worn out. If its the card that came with your device then crappy it would be as those are usually class2 or 4.

I personally refuse to use the boxed cards in my phone, I use only high speed class 10 sd cards.

Class 10 card and if it was the card I would experience the same slow down with Quickpic which I don't

Class 10 means NOTHING any more. Crap is also Class10 these days. (Class10) UHS-1 2 3?

I guess the new app might use more RAM which you may have less of or may already be using more of which slows everything down as the RAM gets juggled around. It's a better approach providing you have the resources...which apparently you don't.

Lol, you most stop buying those fong kong sd cards, they print Class 10 on any old sheet.

It's a high speed class 10 45MB/s card and reading a 500kb image file shouldn't lag even if it was an ancient sd card. I can play 4k video files off the sd card with zero lag.

The phone has 3gb of ram with almost nothing installed and typically over 1,5gb free at any given time. It's the app not my phone, perhaps it's just not optimised for my particular phone but it's a very common phone running stock 4.42. Maybe an update will smooth things outs.

I'm trying to find an app to print from android to a konica minolta bizhub. I have done this before with cannon and kyocera apps, but minolta seem woefully behind the times here.
