Android Useful Apps

Yeah, so it worked pretty well this morning - it picks up local weather via Bing (not installed), and left me a notification of the actual weather. Nice enough. I'm watching for battery concerns, but nothing different yet. I think that depends on your rules, but I have seen some complaints online.

On a somewhat unrelated note, I'm still on the lookout for a new ROM to play with. I'm seeing more S3 phones around me, and need something to ease my envy. ;)

Probably been posted here before, but iMediaShare is a great alternative to Samsung's AllShare (which bombed out constantly with me).

I am still testing out the lite version but will most definitely purchase the full app when I'm happy that it works like it should.

I purchased the full version. Worth it.

Switchme - Finally support for multiple users. You create profiles for each user. Each user has their own apps and can customise the layout as they like. (Requires root) [I found it very useful to limit my 4year old daughter to only her apps and games]

Does anyone know of a good free music player that lets you browse your music by their folders?

I've just flashed CM9 on the Note and the bundled Apollo doesn't have the feature. I got the Android music app from the store just now but for some reason it's not in this either whereas it was on my stock GB and ICS. Winamp also has it only in their paid version and I listen so infrequently I'd rather not buy unless I have to. So short of downloading everything in sight, I thought it's best I ask here :)

Have you tried Songbird? Off the top of my head I cannot remember if it does what you ask, but it's worth a try.

Do not know if it will work in CM9, works like a dream in 2.3

MIUIv4 changed to a new app and way to many API calls to MIUI OS to make a stand alone.

Cheers for the tips, I tried the one below first...
