Geekbuying on the pre-order price of $129. Think shipping was like $40 with EMS (only one available on this item), hope this shipping includes import duties etc.
They were suppose to ship on the 25th December, but ran out of stock. They emailed me on Friday, that they received new stock and it will ship this week. Finally saw movement on the tracker today.

EDIT: yes, english version

i contacted MIA but the response was the standard: we cannot advise at this time.

they'll probably sell it for R3K if they do.
 
Anyone with a Huawei Watch and a Xiaomi device? I'm battling to get MI watch to work with this MI Max. For starters, it keeps automatically setting the watch to "do not disturb" mode, meaning I get to notifications. Anyone else have the same issues?

Yes, I bought a Xiaomi Miband 2 smart bracelet fitness tracker. I use it with my Xiaomi Note 4. They work great together....a really nice pair, and the Miband 2 watch lasts 20 - 30 days on a battery charge.

I don't know what problems you are having but my Xiaomi Miband 2 smart watch and Xiaomi Note 4 paired and worked together perfectly within a few minutes.

I have found that the Xiaomi "Mi Fit" Android app is a bit limited in its functionality, so I have now downloaded the paid version of Android "Notify and fitness" app. The phone and the watch sync and talk to each other seamlessly, using this app on the Xiaomi phone.

I paid $ 25 for the Xiaomi Miband 2 watch. I am not a watch person - I can't remember when I last wore a watch....I couldn't handle a lump sitting on my wrist. But this Xiaomi is something else, light...don't even notice it's there, and almost 30 days of battery life on a charge. I enjoy checking out the reports in the morning on my phone to see what time I fell asleep, when I woke up and how well I slept, and what my heart rate was through the night.

This is one watch I will continue to wear everyday - at $ 25, probably one of the best purchases I have made in many years. And that Android app "Notify and Fitness" (paid version), is loaded with features and functions to use on the watch. I am still finding new ways to use my fitness tracker watch. At the price, I was thinking of buying a second one as a spare. I can't wait for Xiaomi to bring out the Miband 3 to see what it will feature.

Xiaomi make excellent products....

Thanx for your review. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X owner here and was looking for around for a "smart watch". More in need of something that alerts me of phone calls other than phone as I work in a factory environment and almost never hear the damn thing ring.

What stopped me from getting one till now was battery life also don't need all the other crap most of them have. I have a phone that I charge every 4 days, why should I have a watch that needs to be plugged in every night.

Just picked up one for $21 and also took a couple of different arm bands as well. Will see how it goes.

Does it show caller ID when you get a call? Does it have different icons for phone call, sms or whatsapp. Can you read a sms or whatsapp on the bracelet itself? Or just an icon? Wife has a miband pulse, its great but with the above it will be a worthy upgrade.

Basically none of the above.
Those would be nice to have I agree, but even without I'm actually quite happy with my Miband2.

Didn't like the privacy concerns of the MiBand software - so I went with F-Droid's Gadgetbridge + Mi Band Master + Netguard set to block internet access to those apps.

Bought it from Gearbest for $21 plus some other goodies including a Gray camo band. Well to be honest was looking for an excuse to get this cover for my phone.

I have 2 Martian Notifier watches at the moment, one black and one white and for me they are better then all the other smartwatches I have had over the last 3 years or so.

What makes these watches different is that they dont even look like smartwatches because most of the screen is an analog watch with a little screen at the bottom where the notifications appear. You set what notifications you want to receive on your watch so you are not bothered with every notification you ever get. You still need your phone to reply to messages etc and to calls etc which is much the same as most smartwatches out there except a few.

I have had my eye on a few new ones coming out on Kickstarter and the likes because they look like real analog watches and not small computers on yr wrists.

The answer to your questions is - it depends which app you use to pair with your Miband 2

If you use the "Notify and fitness for miband" app, then yes, to a lot of your questions (the paid version at any rate...I don't know about the free version)

When paired with Notify and fitness for miband app, it...
1. Yes, it will show caller ID - you have the choice between a)default b)given name c)middle name d)family name e)display name
2. Yes, it has different icons
3. As far as I can see, you can't read messages...but I am still finding my way around this very feature rich app

EDIT: I see when you pair the "MIBAND TOOLS" app to your Miband 2, it DOES allow reading of texts
EDIT2: I see the "notify and fitness for Miband 2" app DOES ALSO do a scrolling text display, (I found out in their feature guide on the web), but I haven't figured out how to activate it on the Miband yet

Just got my Xiaomi Mi Band 2 today, and so far I must say I am impressed with this little unit.

Will see how it goes, over some time and report back.

Edit: Did not even need to get Notify and fitness, just had to search for the settings in Mi Fit for incoming notifications, including displaying the name of incoming calls/sms's.
