I'll keep it short: why bother buying an AndroidOne device with the assurance (granted, this comes from upstream) - that you'll get security patches and Android updates, because that's the "value-add"

My Nokia G10 hasn't received an OTP security patch since March, or the Android 12 Update.

If I had to guess I'd say our Providers lag with non-flagship devices when getting the updates out there? BY YEARS.

The point in Android one is the network provider has no say in the updates.

So if your phones not gotten on, it’s Nokia.

I must check, I got my dad a G10 from Foschini.

Not sure which Android version its on.
