It takes very little effort to show a little humanity when someone dies.
If you've got some sort of problem with this woman whom you've probably never met, there are many ways of showing it without coming across as a total arse.

In my experience it's better to say nothing rather than to show remorse you don't actually feel.

This is what really scares me about the modern world - that some people who have never met or known this woman, are concerned that she died, when all around us, every single day, innocent people die.

I'm with bb_matt - I never quite get the hype around celebrity deaths. No one persons life is more important than another's. If people really respect the dead, they should also pay tribute to the thousands who die daily throughout the world, by referring to them by their first names instead of numbers (eg. 67 die in Iraq). Also agree with Xarog, rather say nothing at all than to show remorse that you don't feel. It's ok to say that you don't really see the fuss surrounding her death, she certainly wouldn't have given a toss about your death.
