Good day.
I'm in a bit of a pickle, I am currently working at a dance studio as an assistant coach, I work 3 days a week and sometimes weekends when we are competing. My boss says I can only be off if a doctor has booked me off.. Who can I contact to get the correct information about the correct leave I am allowed or if someone could assist.

Have you got an employment contract?

You should get 1 day of annual leave for every 16 days worked. Works out to 15 days a year if working 5 days a week.

looks like your employer is a grade one Ahole. Find a new job. You cite the law to such kind of people they usually will try to terminate you. I personally think it's not worth fighting. Move on, find a new job.

sounds like your boss is taking you for a ride.
Answer the above regarding an employment contract and that you need to start looking for a new job.

... I remember when I used to have basic human rights like... annual leave..

Does the dance studio not close over December or something and if you want to go away it probably has to be then. Anyways, would be interested to see the rules around this.
