Anonymous hacker charged by U.K. police

I don't think the authorities get it, do they?

We are all Anonymous, at least potentially.
 
sigh, people still thinking that anonymous is a person, or a close knit group. and that there is a ring leader.

This is the mode the authorities are stuck-in. Decentralization and the concept that clued-up individuals might be pissed-off does not strike them. You need monolithic structures with lots of management ‘chiefs’, big budgets and a PC HR department to accomplish anything. Dinosaur ‘old style’ thinking.

In they same way as are all potentially bank robbers, vehicle hijackers.

I don't have any respect for these hackers who hide behind there PC/laptop. If they have a problem with the UK or US govt, why don't they have the guts to man up and say it in public. Cowards.

There has been massive investment and recruitment in the past years by western law enforcement agencies and defence to combat cybercrime.

These hackers can't be that good. Almost weekly now there is an arrest.

Sure. The single individual must man-up and face the monolithic beast. That is the way it has always worked.

What’s the problem then? These hackers are receiving their just desserts from the noble authorities who know what’s good for us.

These hackers may seem as bad people doing bad things in cyberspace, but what about Visa, PayPal, etc? They on their own decided to 'judge' us, the public, on their own desecration on when services is suspended because they 'think' one meant to do bad things even before any conviction or anything. Till now the Anonymous group didn't do any harm to the public yet but only oposing these corporations which by means of normal protest or complaints would only resolve in endless loops and no results. :mad:

You place a lot of trust in secretive organisations. The best defence against the likes of visa, paypal etc., is to force them to be transparent. And keep an eye on them. I don't trust them either, but I trust "anonymous" organisations even less. How do you know they haven't passed credit card and other info on to some dodgy people. You don't,
