Now more than a month battling to get support from Afrihost.

Amazing how they can spend a complete month doing absolutely nothing!!
oh, i forget ... they did do something ... increased my account charge!!
Afrihost is nothing more than a bunch of useless criminal bastards.

Can someone point me (and every other poor Afrihost fibre sufferer) to a better fibre ISP?

What ISP out there is recommended to be able to offer fibre and:
1. Know exactly what to do to take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for taking an order
2. Do not provide stupid excuses about Openserve etc. when something goes wrong.

If you want to be an ISP then the FULL service offering is your problem - not the clients!

The steady decline of a once supreme ISP. AfriMan - AfriFella
Rather do the PBCool thing !

Wait a minute. Cool Ideas does the same thing. I enquired about switching to them and was immediately told that Openserve could be a problem and cause delays. So I don't think even the mighty Cool Ideas will take FULL responsibility? I stand to be corrected of course.

It all depends on whether the Openserve portal is working, if it isn't you have to do a manual process which can delay a few days, if planned correctly it shouldn't be an issue. It's the reason we are upfront about it.

I remember your response. I was responding to the OP and just informing him, that "stupid openserve excuses" CAN come from Cool Ideas too.

I am with Webafrica, but cancelled with them - can't wait to move to CISP. Webafrica thought that the 1% VAT increase is sufficient to push up my bill with R30. I'll have none of that nonsense.
