Another ANC mistake on the cards

The ANC’s plan to expand the Reserve Bank’s mandate would do little to improve South Africa’s economic performance while posing significant risks to the institution's global reputation.

Agreed, the proposal is misguided and would undermine the independence of the Reserve Bank and ultimately do more harm than good. Employment levels and economic growth are not driver by monetary policy, but by government policy decisions. Whats is required is not interference in the mandate of the Reserve Bank, an institution whose independence is critical to stability, but rather a change in governments policy or indeed in government itself, if South Africa is to achieve meaningful progress.

Their is a difference between making mistakes and utter incompetence!
if the shoe fits, the ANC can wear it, I think at this stage nobody expects them to make good decisions anyway.
even Trump showed them how incompetent they are on the world stage,

Dim the lights!!!!!

Historical evidence would suggest that the ANC rarely makes good decisions. Most likely those that turn out to be good ones were just simply potluck.
