On Thursday morning between 07h30 and 09h00 Antitrust will be holding a protest and handing out anti-Telscum flyers at the intersection of Jan Smuts and Empire. We will also be displaying a banner which says, “Telkom is costing SA jobs” and below that “Stop the rip off”.

Anyone who would like to join us, please PM me. For those who won’t be able to make it, we will post some pictures and an article of what transpired on the Antitrust website.

If you travel that way in the morning, blow your hooter to show us your support! :D

Sounds fantastic, I am sure there are a lot of people here in Johannesburg who will be willing to help you out.

How about posting a MAP for those who dont exactly know where it is?
  um - well... thought most ppl knew where it was...

Its the intersection on the north-east corner of the Wits University campus.

From the north:
Go south along Jan Smuts ave towards the CBD, past the zoo - over the hill and its the massive intersection you get to just after going over the freeway (M1)
or if you coming down the M1 - take the Jan Smuts off-ramp and its the 1st traffic lights you get to.

From the south:
Go north along the M1 and take the Jan Smuts off-ramp shortly after the double-decker section ends, right at the traffic light and its the next intersection.

From the east and west:
Figure your way to the M1 and follow directions as above - or if you know a better way then great.

I support you in principle but feel that you are wasting your time.
And please desist with this namecalling, it gives this forum the
feel of a bikerbar.

...and you cheapen the people of this country.... enough said. Let the people who want to make a difference get to work, let those who dont get the heck outta our way.

We actually need more people like the Antitrust folks to inform the rest of the population what Telkom is doing to them.

Go for it AntiTrust - I'd support you guys if I was up in Gauties :-)

All I can say is I think you best catch a wakeup and realise that if there were more people like us and less people like you, things would change. Instead you choose to be an active participant in your own little self-fufilling prophecy.

STOP DENEGRATING WHAT WE ARE DOING.

Thanks for the words of support everyone. captainwifi, please take your negativity somewhere else.

Don't you have public roads to destroy?

i'm proud of Antitrust and what they are doing!!!

Thanks for giving your time to help this country!!!

Keep up the good work

:)

Thanks louisp. We will continue with our cause as usual, no amount of negativity will deter us.

Well done to MaryJane and co... I actually drove past you guys this morning on the way to Varsity (UJ). It was a perfect start to my morning to see the banner you guys put up. Very good awareness campaign... if I could see the banner at the speed I was driving, I'm sure almost everyone who drove by that intersection also saw it!!! :)

You must have driven past after the traffic died down a bit. Did you hoot? If not, shame on you :D jk

I only realised I should have hooted in support when I had already driven past, my bad :) If only I had checked this thread before yesterday, I would have definitely been standing with you guys there.

Did you guys happen to see any Telkom vehicles driving past??? Cause funny enough, methinks that some of Telscum's technicians would actually have hooted in support :). A lot of them are very Anti-Telkom (spoke to one of them just recently when they were attending a fault with my phone) as only the top bosses are benefitting from Telscum's high profits and not them.

Funnily, a Telkom vehicle did pass us. Debbie was jumping up and down, waving at the driver and pointing at the banner. Was rather entertaining. The cars passing us must have thought Debbie was crazy. We all know that she is not, she is just very passionate about our cause. :D
