Been reading about and apparently to play wow in SA is *pretty* complicated...

I assume I need the EU version discs + EU keys. No idea where to get either so if someone could help... (willing to pay). Then what about payment? Apparently your account will be blocked if you use a non-EU/US credit card and obviously I don't want to log on one day and find my account gone. So it seems those voucher things are the way to go. But how do they work? Are they region-specific and do you buy an actual card or do you just get a number?

Any help seriously appriciated. Thanks!

I got a copy of the discs from a friend, bought my EU account / serial for standard WoW from www.gamersloot.com (excellente service).

Then I bought my Burning Crusade copy at local games shop. I pay my account monthly with my FNB Credit Card, no hassles ever with that. So you should be all good

Would anyone be willing to hook me up with a copy? Im in CT. Also/either let me know of a site/shop that sells burning crusade. And then the game card thing. But thanks ^

BT Games in Tygervalley... Depends where you are near. The game is officially released in South Africa. Dont know why they would not allow South African credit cards. Ive been using a Standard Bank one for like 2 years.

Take2.co.za has the battlechest available for just over R350, which include both the original, The Burning Crusade, All keys and guides. I ordered mine a while back and should be delivered this week, so give them a call and check if they have stock for you.

If not, i'm in Cape Town, so i can hook you up with the disks.

Yup, agree with BT Games (www.btgame.co.za) or you can try RPG-Bay.co.za.

I'm using my ABSA credit card. Works fine for me. If I had to buy game cards I would be cut off start of every month...I forget to pay accounts :p haha

Thanks. It looks like all I need now is the discs. The ones advertised on those sites only seem to be for the cd-keys of the games/chest etc... Anyone willing to send me copies?

Sugest buy the CD keys, and ask on the forum for someone that have the game near you to borrow their CD's or even to copy their version of the game. Getting the game CD's is no problem the problem is downloading all the patches! prepare for a few GB of downloads. Someone that have installed recently may give you an estimate of how much u need to download.

Where are you located?...nvm seen your in CT. Can prob send you the CD's per mail but it will be faster if you find someone to pick it up from.

That's what I'm worried about :( There's no way my cap will take all that. Doesn't anyone have them on a CD or something?

Also, why can't copies of the discs come out with the updated patches? I'm almost certain current XP discs etc now come with SP2 already installed.

Blizzard updates content / fixes bugs / creates new bugs quite regularly and so they patch every few weeks / months.

I guess that would not be cost effective to withdraw all it's cd's and replace them with updated patches every few months.

SP2 has been around for a few years now, you still have to patch xp as well if you want the latest updates like media player 10 etc...

Apparently when you install BC, all the normal WoW patches are included. So how big are the remaining BC patches?

If that's true, then that's not so bad then. Take2 is out of stock so anyone know of any shops selling it?

you can download the client files from the EU WoW site : http://www.wow-europe.com

On the right in this page there is a download link. You get a 10-trial as well. Then you just need a full game key to convert your account, which you buy over the net.

too much to download. no one willing to send me copies of the discs? :(
I know im being cheap/lazy now but i just realy want to get started :p still going to buy the keys from digimall...
