Johannesburg - An elderly couple were found murdered in their home in Alice, near Fort Beaufort on Monday afternoon, Eastern Cape police said.

Police responding to a house breaking found their bodies, Warrant Officer Bradley Rawlinson said.

There was no sign of forced entry and no arrests had been made by Monday evening. He could not provide more details as the investigation was at a "sensitive stage".

I certainly agree, I'm just not sold on the sense of engaging in a civil war in South Africa at this very moment, is all.

If more people appreciated the lives of others there would never have been a WW1 or 2, nor would there be brutal crime.

Unfortunately, expecting anyone to think beyond their own selfish interests/agendas is a pipe-dream.

Regardless... much sadness goes out to the late couple and their loved ones...

Look at what happened in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania (post Uhuru movement)
MANY whites were murdered on their farms. women, children, babies even, animals mutilated etc.
It wasn't pretty.
The "have nots" revolting against the "have's" and pushing them out.
Those countries never recovered (from a Western point of view)

Civil war in SA won't solve anything and I REALLY hope it doesn't come to that because then we'll truly be "f**ked".
The world will give up on SA if that happens and we'll become another Somalia, Sierra Leone, etc with a bunch of UN "peace keepers" standing around who either shoot anything that moves or worse still, don't shoot at all like in Rwanda.
Either way, we'll be a failed state with no hope of anything positive.

When civil war breaks out everyone who can (be they white, black, indian or whatever) will leave SA for good leaving only war lords who fight over nothing.
& what's the point in that?
