It just goes on and on......

Bloemfontein - A Free State farmer was buried in a shallow grave after being attacked on his Reitz farm on Monday, said Free State police.

Sergeant Mmako Mophireng said police were alerted by his son when he became suspicious after a stranger answered one of his telephone calls to his parent's home.

Police arrived to find two women tied up, but no sign of the farmer.

It was in a search of the farmyard that they discovered the shallow grave in which the farmer's body was buried.

Mophireng said two people had since been arrested at an informal settlement in Reitz. One of them apparently worked on the farm a few days ago.

He said the two women were taken to the Bethlehem hospital.

Another story like this with an employee involved in the crime. I wonder how many of these workers have priors.

How does one go about preventing these, or rather what are good protection means?
From what I've seen it's old families that are easiest targets, and they probably don't have many pets to protect them either.

Something is very wrong and I'm not inclinded to call it genocide (the wife was left alive). If these farm workers have real grievences then there should be a system in place that would bring these farmers to book. The ANC needs to take active measures, have inspectors visit farms and interview the workers to see if they really are being abused, underpaid etc. Whatever the reason, I just see the ANC sitting back and failing to protect both farmers and the workers, failing to intervene.

They're obviously pissed about something so let's get to the bottom of it. There's a problem and nobody is making any effort to fix it. It's a copout to simply scream genocide. How is that getting to the root of the problem with farm workers? There needs to be a thorough investigation, yet everybody is just sitting on their hands.

Absolute twaddle child. Dad was attacked. There is no accountability in this ****ing country. None.

These workers are murdering savages heeding the call of their masters. They don't have 'real grievances'. In SA employing the wrong person can be a death sentence.

Even if they did have "real grievances", (which I doubt) it's never ever an excuse to ****ing murder someone.

Sooner or later these guys are going to be pushed too far and we are going to have a right mess on our hands. The government should reform the commando's and place it under command of current military leaders (they may just learn something from the old army folks in the process) That way it isn't right wing but just self defence.

Don't hire SA's to work on your farm. Get Zimbabweans in
