Another help me buy a newer car thread

wife has a 2006 honda jazz probably worth around 45k max

she wants to upgrade ...so we budgetting around 300-350k with about 100k probably financed

what options do i have

looking at omoda, cherry tiggo, toyota cross and jetour dashing

what about nissan magnite

and what would you choose and why

looking at brand new, demos or very low mileage <30k km cars

All I can say is avoid the Magnite. That 1 litre engine and CVT is painful to drive.

wife loves this car , but from what i have been reading its very poorly built

the hybrid is closer to 500k

is the reviews really that bad for the cross , the auto box is like 20 years old and also not the safest car
 
All CVT'S?

Decent build quality on the Honda Elevate.

Mahindra XUV3X0 is a great value purchase.

The Auto has a crappy box and the vehicle itself is thirsty, that apart from the hijack/theft aspect.
Also there is quite a bit of road noise.
 
For R350k you would get a 2024 VW T Cross 1.0 TSI Auto with around 30k kms on. This you will get at a proper VW dealer that will not sell you a dodgy secondhand car.

Apparently the Cherry CVT is also not bad. It is rated higher than Nissan although that is also not saying much.

Wife has a tiggo 4 pro, which is the only one that fits OP budget.. she has the manual and would recommend that to anyone who is looking for something similar..

However, the auto I cannot.. was driven home in an auto after dropping my vehicle for a service one morning and it's sluggish as hell.. has no get up and go and seemed like a terrible driving experience.. maybe it had been beat to shyte, being a dealership village bicycle, but still..

I've been looking for a car for my son, hence the tiny bit of knowledge.
