A previous work colleague, a Brit that had made South Africa his home, and a power boiler consultant was pulling out his Joburg suburbs driveway early in the morning and the highjiacked him in 1996. They startled him knocking on his window with a firearm, and his reaction of backing away must have lead them to think he was going for a firearm and they opened fire riddling his new small Merc 190 and him with bullets.Getting Hijacked changed my life forever , its now been 3 years but the ordeal plays through my head again & again. I did not go for trauma councelling so I would recom that.
The police have to start patrolling the streets 24/7... This is country quickly becoming a war zone!
i think this country is still a little far from warzonecrime ridden and poverty stricken, but not a war zone
They recovered the car, 2 roads down.
Be careful, these guys were not even following the couple, they were in front of them, I suppose they will be back

Still waiting to be interviewed by a detective from Midrand, I guess not going to happen
Car is currently at the panel beaters, being fixed from damage caused in the police pound.
Next time will not bother to report it, will just get tracker to bring it back to me, the police are completely and utterly useless.
