Will be moving soon and I'll be needing a mesh due to the space of the new place.

I already had the M4 in mind, but then came across the X20. The X20 supports Wifi 6.

So I can either get 3 x X20's, or for the same price, 6 x M4's. What would you guys do?

I helped someone with the deployment of their X20s and they are impressive units. And the app is brilliant.

I would future proof as much as i can - X20s if you can and run cable to them if possible
Thanks, was thinking the same thing re future proofing. Just forked out for the X20s. Should receive it tomorrow. Will report back on performance for anyone else interested.

For now my place is small enough to use WiFi backhaul, but will run cable in the new place...

x20s

Where are you buying?

I also want them, but can't find stock at reasonable pricing.

Takealot link in the OP.

Everyshop has it cheaper, but I had R3k in eBucks that I could offload...

Upgraded my old M4s for the X20s in June for exactly the same reason.

Still happy.

So initial results are not bad at all.

This is considering the main unit is tucked away behind the TV unit so the toddler can't get to it.

Secondary unit is in the kitchen and connected to the main via WiFi.

And the test below was from a part of the house that can only be reached by the secondary.

And this is connected to the primary. Keep in mind that there's no line of sight. It's hidden away on the floor behind the TV cabinet...

@Mike Hoxbig Impressive. Have they updated the app to now sure usage data for devices? This is stopping me from trying them out. Even if on uncapped LTE, would like to see individual data stats  :)

Nah I've looked and unfortunately the app still doesn't seem to track it.

Not really a deal breaker for me, I've long ago stopped tracking usage. Would have been nice though...

Ive posted this a couple of times on MyBB so apologies for those that have seen it ;)

I got mine from Amazon for much cheaper. The plugs were US but works with an adapter :)

They are awesome but not the fastest wifi 6 out there )according to some reviews). Zero issues with mine this far

Also remember you can mesh the newer Huawei routers. The WS5200 can be picked up for around R700 and if you want WiFi 6 the AX3 is just over R1000.

This looks like a good deal! I just found your original posts about this in another thread.

So no 110v issues with this device coming from the US? Some Q+A on the Amazon page seems to indicate its a 110v system? If a simple plug adapter does the trick I'll likely take up this Amazon offer - thanks for pointing it out.

Does this help?

So my power supply on one of the units has broken.

Where would I be able to get a replacement? TP-link support hasn't bothered replying to my mail from last week.

It's a rated at 100-240V input, 12V==1.5A output. Would a generic from takealot work?

A generic 12V charger will work as long as it is 1.5A or above. Also make sure the barrel plug is compatible. I am running my main X20 off a 12V UPS without any issue.
