Another SARS thread - Assessed

So I decided this year that I was going to get my tax in as early as possible. I basically started fiddling with my return on efiling as soon as it was available and when I got my IRP5 on Friday(26/09) I just confirmed the last couple of details and then completed my form on Sunday (28/09) and filed it.

This morning I was pleasantly surprised when I checked my mail to have received a notice from SARS saying that I had been assessed. Went online and checked my assessment and I'm happily getting a tidy sum back after I was expecting to have to pay in.

So at the moment I'm very much in love with the new changes and the way in which this has sped up the entire process. Anyone else been assessed so far?
 
My experience. filed 22/09/08/, got assesment 26/09/08. Payment 29/09/08
Friend experience filed 25/09/09, got assesment 26/09/08, payment 30/09/08

did you change anything on your IRP5 details that were automatically filled in for you ... thing is it showing me i would owe them money, just put in my car details and standard 34000km with no log book ... always have been getting money out ... :( ... so thats why i have not hit the send button
 
I didn't change anything that was provided by my employers. I basically just added my medical aid and travel details. I couldn't use the calculator though as some of my things were a bit complex so I didn't know what to expect.

In the end it was just a case of checking if everything I know should be was on and sending it off with a little prayer.
 
Same here filled 25/09 Accessed 29/09 , got my money back 30/09.

I am having trouble filing my return. I keep getting an error reading when i press "file".

Any advice on how else to submit?
 
Now thats a scary thought. I don't really think thats the case but does it make sense that they would be waiting for SARS to get back to them?
 
Received my payout from SARS this morning, so I'm rather happy, fromt he point of filing to being assessed and getting something it was less than a week.
