Another Telkom ripoff

Hi..I am sorry if this thread ihave maybe been coevered somewhere else in the forums, but I tried to search for something in this line, but could not find anything. So actually I need some help please. Someone phoned me yesterday and said some Telkom techies suddenly pitched at their home and wnated to repair a line that apparently was not working and was reported.Anyhow, in actual fact the line was fine and no report was made to Telkom. Now I am sure somewhere I read that it is tactic from some very crafty people to get into your house and then rob you blind..This person wants to report these guys...any idea where?

1st off, Telkom techies will always arrive in a Telkom vehicle (and criminals will never stoop to the level of driving around in a Telkom vehicle )

2ndly, you can always ask for a work order number, call Telkom and confirm (although good luck holding for their customer "service" centre).

Couple of years ago a Telkom van pitched up at my home to repair a line that was never reported faulty, Cleaning lady let them in to check it out. The next day my house was emtied, looked like I moved? Neighbours reported a Telkom van in my driveway that day?
