I'm currently on the 4MB home uncapped which was activated this month.

I dropped to 3 stars within 7 days at the beginning of this month, my usage being on 41GB if I can remember. Since then I have made changes in my usage times and queue all bigger downloads between 12am and 6am.

I now only use around 3-4 GB a day (peak), and this has been working for me as I am now on 210GB and still currently on 3 stars.

My question is how do I move back to 5 stars. Do I have to use 1KB of data everyday (peak) for the next week or what? This dynamic bull that keeps getting thrown at us just isn't good enough. All I want to know is what usage during peak qualifies me to stay on a 5 star rating....!

Also does your star rating reset in the new month or does it carry over, if it does carry over, all the more to have a straight answer for my question above?

Star rating is calculated on the previous 10 days of usage. So it does carry over into the month.
On day 1, the last 10 days of the previous month is looked at.
On day 2, the last 9 days of the previous month and the 1st of this month is looked at.
Ect.

3-4GB a day peak, is about 30-40GB usage in 10 days time. That would work out to a usage of 120-160GB a month.
How much capped data would you get for the same price of the account you are on? That should be a good benchmark as to how much you should bring down your usage :P

Since it's calculated on a rolling window of 10 days, the monthly usage of 120-160GB shouldn't matter. What really matters is the 30-40GB usage in 10 days then.

So I should be using how much ?? GB per day in a ten day rolling window to stay on 5 stars?

Example:

5GB a day = BAD (1-2 stars)
3-4GB a day = OK (3 stars)
1-2GB a day = why are you on a uncapped account???? (4 stars)
0GB a day = 5 stars (we prefer this during peak hours thanks!!!)

I'm sure I'm not the only one when I say we just want some figures please and none of this:

"If you take this usage bla bla bla and queue this bla bla and take into account the bla bla bla then it takes these figures and does some stuff to it to give you a star."

I've seen no performance impact on 3 stars, so I'm not sure why people are making such a big deal about it. Your usage is fine.

If you're unhappy with the performance during the day (8am to 5pm) then I'd suggest a business account, it's well worth the extra money. Otherwise, if you use 3-4gb a day and most of your downloads are at night, then get a capped account. They're awesome

This is the main reason i left WA like 3 years ago.

Cant handle that roll over, 10 day whatever period they had.

I recall downloading 15GB and being throttled/shaped hardcore

I have experienced lack of performance on 3 stars w.r.t. online gaming. I struggle to stay connected ever since I have moved to 3 stars. Weekends, WA tends to open the flood gates and I can notice immediately the performance increase on my online gaming.

So this is why I ask how to obtain 5 stars again and what the usage per day should be, so as to actually enjoy gaming during the week.

Currently, I can only play over weekends.

I will adjust my usage on my UNCAPPED account however I need to, in order to move back to 5 stars.

The monthly usage may not matter, but I am sure the affordability of accounts for the ISP are worked out over a 30 day period, and then divided by 3 to shorten the rolling period, so that you can get back to better quality star rating faster, instead of a waiting a whole month.
