Another what's a fair price thread

I want to get rid of a few bits and pieces after recently upgrading. Not looking to make top dollar, just want to pass the spare stuff on at fair value.

As a package, what's reasonable to ask for:
* Intel E2160 Pentium Dual-Core, 1.8Ghz, LGA775 CPU
* Fujitsu-Siemens Mobo from a Scaleo L pc, LGA775
* 4GB DDR2-667 RAM (4 x 1GB)
* Windows Vista Home Premium (OEM with above mobo)
* LG Lightscribe IDE DVD-writer
* Geforce FX5200 64MB PCI GFX (really old, but still working 100%)

*ASROCK G31M-VS2 Mobo @ R300
*Intel CPU E5700 Pentium Dual Core LGA775 3.0GHz @ R500
*4GB DDR2-800 @ R250
*Windows 7 Home Premium @ R900
*LG DVD Writer @ R150
*ASUS NVIDIA GEFORCE 210 512MB DDR2 @ R350

Which gives a total of R2450.

Now seeing as this is all brand new and with Windows 7, you are selling secondhand and with Windows Vista, I would not pay more than R1200 for the above mentioned. But thats only me, maybe someone else will pay a bit more.

hannodewind: where can you get 4GB DDR2-800 for that price of R250, even if it's 2x 2GB?!

The cheapest 1x 4GB DDR2 800MHz module that I saw was in the order of R1000, and 1x 2GB DDR2 800 for like R250.

The cheapest 1x 4GB DDR2 800MHz module that I saw was in the order of R1000, and 1x 2GB DDR2 800 for like R250.

was gonna ask the same ! R250 for 4gb ddr2 800mhz is insanely cheap. i paid R400 for a 2gb 800mhz dimm last year and i doubt it dropped so much in that time

Wavestone in PTA sells Dynet DDR2 2GB 800MHz module for R135+vat, so my estimate might be a bit low there, more in the range of R300. I see they have removed the Dynet from the latest pricelist as well...now only Hynix for R169+vat a module. Mind you these are not gaming modules/high performance modules, but paying a lot more than this seems a bit excessive for DDR2 memory at this stage.....

Decided to just get a cheap case for these spares and build a NAS.
(Seeing as HP decided to hike their price on the microserver)
