answering calls from a modem

is it possible to answer calls using a modem?callers are able to hear the ringing tone while my sim is in the modem,but on my side there is no alert,can i use the headphones plugged in the computer to answer the call?

Certain modems do offer voice calling so it really depends on what modem you have!
