Can someone donate some wisdom on using an antenna?
I have reception which varies from usually good to weak, but sometimes very weak.
I've seen small (upto 15cm) clip-on and table standing antennas with crc9 connectors advertised from china which promise gains of 12-13 dBi for low cost. But I also see more mainstream sites saying 9 dBi is a VERY high gain and asking big money for big antennas to achieve this.
Will a small, cheap antenna from China make any difference?
