I have a 27" Dell here it has a glass panel practically impossible to work on during the day or at night with the ceiling light.

Is there some sort of anti glare screen clip over cover thing I can buy in SA?

What solutions do I have apart from selling the monitor.

Have not seen one, the ceiling lights over my PC have all been turned so they are off, thick curtains in front of the window. Screen brightness set on its lowest and f.lux

No I will need something proper why glass screens was ever a thing I do not know.

Why did you buy it in the first place? Never ever buy a glossy screen or laptop with one.

The Apple guys seem to cope fine with glossy screens on all their displays, it is a bit of a pita but you do get the best image in glossy, the matting film reduces the acuity of the display.

I'd learn to live with it, if an ocd sheeple can do it so can you.

Dammit, after reading this thread my phone screen is irritating me now too. All the reflections!

Phones are alright because the brightness can generally offset the glare.

This specific Dell monitor is not the best, it's very dull so it's practically a mirror

Is it an Ips display?
No. My LG is IPS and that thing is gorgeous it's perfect. No glare.

This is a Dell I can't recall the model right now Gtx Gaming might remember.

It's like a solid glass over the actual monitor. Like I can break the class and the monitor itself should still work so I did consider that.

Replace the Dell with an Ips then, there is no compare, as you probably know.

you can sand down the glass with a water based emery cloth.. should take the gloss away...

Full disclosure, I cannot verify whether that will actually work, but it will remove the shine, that I know..:crylaugh:
