Anti-theft PC/Desktop device

I know, but if they can only get one or two of the several lying around before the armed reaction arrived, you have stopped atleast some theft.

Two kinds of thieves. The casual one who walks though 'looking for someone' and palms a laptop/tablet under his briefcase.
And the planned thief- breaks in after hours and has a plan (And a bolt cutter).
I've experienced both.
Unless you have a serious problem and want to bolt it down, even a cable lock will slow them down. There is no way you can stop them.
Don't just rely on security features - lock it down with a cable lock, make sure you have backups and sensitive data encrypted and decent insurance.

Basically, if they want it, they will take it. They ripped my parents' safe out of a double thick wall in about 45 minutes. Just make sure you have sufficient insurance.

This is for my wife's office. They stole around 8 desktops a few weeks ago and luckly most of the people have laptops. It could have been worse. She works for a large company and excess or minimum insured amount is R200k :-(

So now we looking at doing the best to secure the desktops so Armed reaction can get to the property before they have swiped most of the desktops (if or when they strike again).

Any recommendations on a cage, cable or device to protect desktop PC's from theft.

Did a search and found the AfriLock for around R300, but not sure if the PC case will be strong enough to stop a determined criminal.
