Hey everyone, i recently installed AVAST HOME EDITION on my vista ultimate 64bit.

What is the best anti virus?
Is avast good enough?

I'm just a normal internet surfer, and play online games.

Which one's usage is lower?
I don't want a anti-virus slowing up my PC...:(

Not sure about 64 but Zonealarm Security Suite Seems to be doing a pretty good job in vista32.

does nod32 use less resources that avg...I use avg in vista and there are onlt 4 avg processes running.
thats 1-update
2-scan explorer in realtime
3-email
4-unknown
What does nod32 do

does nod32 use less resources that avg..yes (1K)

2-scan explorer in realtime (all the time.... u can set alot of the options as prevent)
3-email (all incoming and outcoming)
4-unknown (4 phases - email; local traffic; internet; e-mail; self scan. i did this once with all drivers including 80GB and 500GB and took less than 2 minutes) impressive
What does nod32 do, firstly they have ovcer 3500 companies, plus 400 government agencies; support SLA is 1 hour. if that is still not impressive, have not had a virus/outbreak in 7 years and voted the best AV is 13 years together with 46 awards.

updates on 34K...

COST wise, home user around R350....
saying this go to their website, http://www.nod32.co.za/ and see for yourself.
hope this helps you.
