Anticap.co.za

Hi there

The fund in question will be in a bank account administered by anticap, and will be a publicly viewable for members. All decisions regarding fund resources will be voted upon by members.

The other 50% goes to running costs.

The pricing on anticap is decent, if not pretty good.

We also offer a free Premium SMS short code word, for members to use in their business or wherever.

This initiative is by members of the ADSL community, purely in the interest of improving this countries current situation.

As anybody should be able to see, with a price of R220p/m and 50% of profits going back to the members, it is obvious that this is not about making money. We make R12p/m per account, which goes towards running costs.

The Mauritius / Nigeria comments(by HelTell) were to make us look like scam artists. The company is in SA and website is Hosted in SA. Do you normally see the field "Server Location:" on whois.co.za? go have a look yourself. The guy typed it in himself. http://whois.co.za/cgi-bin/whois.sh?Domain=anticap

Advice to others eg. "Dont use AntiCap, the service is bad" or " This is a great idea", is perfectly welcome. Thank you for the fantastic response we've received from most visitors.

We hope that some of the community might get together here to stimulate some action.

I would rather spend 2 hours making my own Hellkom T-Shirt as described on www.hellkom.co.za and send several SMS'es to my other cellphone number before buying anticrap...

Anyone willing to spend R5 / sms complaining? Send it to me, I will even send a SMS back! All included in the package

So you say I typed it myself huh? Why would I do that? For who's sake? lmao .. as far as I am concerned I trust what I saw.

I went to your site and did not even take notice of it, when I came back to this forum I saw the comments about your site so I decided to investigate it myself. I have no need to run your company down, well, I didn't but, what I published here was cut and paste definitely not typed by me.

THEN where did you cut and paste it from? - pray tell as you were the only person who mentioned it

what i'd like to know is... how the heck do they charge what they charge, and 50% goes wherever. if these guys can get it that cheaply, then why are other isp's charging what they charge ? - whichever the answer - i still question that 50%. If MYADSL fights as hard as it is (however hard anybody thinks we are), then how much harder will these guys fight with that socalled 50%???

@ HellTel - How can you actualy think people will beleive this? Do you see the word Krugersdorp... That is a city West of JoBurg, I assure you there is no Krugersdorp in nigeria. And Gauteng, youve just cut off the G? lol

Why dont you just go look, it is right there http://whois.co.za/cgi-bin/whois.sh?Domain=anticap

Yes the profits are very low, hence "Interest in the community" Mayb the 50% profits might not nessesarily go very far, but dont you prefer the concept of using the money you're paying for ADSL for this type of purpose, to using it to make your ISP rich?

Anyway, if any1 is interested, visit http://www.anticap.co.za

If any1 is interested in helping out in any way. PM me :)

I am afraid that you are getting ripped off. WA has accounts for R199. I would suggest that you buy from them. At least you will be making R21 p/m per account.

Cheers

You can only fool those that want to be fooled ....

Read this

Site: anticap.co.za
Owner: Box 498

Site server is located in Mauritius, a country in your suspected countries list
Site owner is located in Nigeria, a country in your suspected countries list

I go by what I read, I don't have to go to whois crap ... wake up

That would be R170 + R12.50 to Fund + R12.50 gross profit + VAT = R120.00 if you are familiar with IS pricing.

The objective is clearly not profit from ADSL since R12.50 could not cover the support cost.

If there is a profit motive, it must be related to acquiring clientele and providing them with additional services.

Premium sms services are strictly controlled and funds claimed to be for charity or action such as this cannot easily be misused.

How can I upload a JPEG for all to see? Does anyone know?

I don't like to be called a liar.

Unpaid ??

Indeed, Thanx for that. Webonline will be answering that charge on Monday morning.

To answer the anti-Anticap posts and attempt to protect its name, Anticap was begun by LDS Computer Systems which has been in existence for 11 years and had business dealings with IS for most of that time.

LDS and Anticap have nothing to do with Nigeria or Maritius. LDS provides IT services to midrange corporates and have encountered much resentment toward the Telkom approach to broadband along with all other telephony services.

LDS hopes to use Anticap to contribute to the fight against monopolistic exploitation in South Africa.

hmmmmmmmmmm

maybe someone care to explain now!!

EDITED: JPEG removed. (11th February 2006)

I cannot explain that. But I can assure you that the who is server is correct and Webonline is hosting at present. These things can be verified. The problem is people are not inclined to check. So in the interest of protecting Anticap from the spread of false information, I respectfully request your assistance.

What extension to Firefox allows you to check that infO???

Sorry Andrewc I am not aware of any software for that effect on firefox.

The only time I use IE is to check if a site is safe. :)
