I have recently downloaded ESET NOD32 Antivirus, now i am getting messages as invalid username and password. can anybody tell me what i should do since i have downloaded without username and password.

Did you DL the trial version? Could have expired(30 days)

Or go straight for the licence?

If you bought the product they should have emailed you a username & password.

You could PM me(or contact a retailer of it/PM someone else that retails it)if you want to buy it.

If you prefer free software: MS Security Essentials.

Note only try that if you have legit windows.

Don't know NOD32, but our company run AVAST Corporate licence, great AV. Avast's free version is just as great for personal use.

ESET NOD32 Antivirus is not FREE, you need to buy a licence.

MS Security Essentials has become a bit of a resource hogger...although it's a great AV product.

I Still prefer AVAST, and Version 6 is working pretty well for me.

I've been using avira for about 2 years now without any trouble. Previously had AVG and that became bloated.

Nod is a definite plus, running Eset Smart Security on 100+ computers from a central server, love using it.
I have refereed all our clients to it and they are happy they did.

:confused::confused::confused:

Are we talking about the same product here?

I installed MSE on a mates 1.5Ghz celeron laptop with 1.5GB ram and you can definitely feel it. I removed MSE and install Avira Free Edition which ran much better.
MSE runs fine on newer hardware but on older kit it has a noticeable impact.

I also don't like giving free reign to MS auto update which is required for MSE. I prefer to rather use Avira except for that annoying popup after every update but I can live with that.
For others with newer machines I just install MSE and leave it at that.

I've installed MSE on a Celeron 1.6 Ghz with 1 Gig of RAM and it ran without any noticeable impact.

Not true. You can completely turn off Windows Update and MSE will still download its own virus signature updates and program updates.

I must concur with Ponder... a Celeron with 1.5GB RAM and VISTA with MSE = slow.

Same hardware with 7 and MSE has negligible impact.

Just ordered a 2GB chip for a laptop now for this very Vista = slow reason.

I recently moved away from NOD32 as the detection rates were a bit shoddy in some areas. Now moved to avast! and will see how that goes (It's already protected me from an attack or two)

MSE still works best for me. Can update without windows update.

+1 for ESET Smart Security

Lightweight and unintrusive. Tried AVG and Avast!, but neither really worked for me... Decided to pay up and get a ESET SS licence (protip: buy a few licences with friends, brings the price down a little :) )

I'm running MSE 2.0 and having updates selected is optional. I've switched off MS updates and MSE still auto updates .

NOD32 is an excellent anti-virus app. However, when I wanted the business version to create a update server for centralized updates on my home network, they told me some bollocks about "minimum of 5 licences blah blah.." I gave up and moved to MSE. It doesn't have the update server but it's free and it works 100% for me.

Been using kaspersky 2011, best I have ever used, although if you want a free antivirus I would recommend avast (latest version).

Avast & AVG are good free programs, Kaspersky if you want to pay. AVG can be a bit bloated if you select full install, just be sure to select only the required components when installing...

Its more then 30 days , and i think so it is still active since i am getting the same message. Hope i will contact soon the person who helped me to download it. I am not able to contact him since he is out of station. And he said to me it is free of cost.
