I see they have been released overseas but can't find any locally.

Anyone know when we might start seeing them over here?

Never buy tech that you can't return easily. DOA products do exist.
Wait for the cards to filter down to cheaper laptops. You'd hopefully be able to get a laptop soon with an i5-L and 1050/60 for around 18k.
